EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

GUARANTEE MOBILE MEDICAL PEDICURES IN KELOWNA, WEST KELOWNA & LAKE COUNTRY to VERNON

The Foot Nurse in Kelowna, B.C is owned and operated by Suzanne McEwan, a Licensed Practical Nurse with extensive advanced foot care training and experience.

Having worked as a nurse both in extended care facilities and at Kelowna General Hospital for many years, I have treated thousands of feet and patients. I have been providing patient care since 1994.

My company "The Foot Nurse" has been in operation since 2006 and my client list has grown to several hundred clients.

My focus is to provide the best medical, therapeutic foot care possible and I offer more than a cosmetic pedicure. In addition to improving the overall appearance of your feet my goal is to promote comfort and relieve pain.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR MOBILE MEDICAL

PEDICURES IN KELOWNA, WEST KELOWNA & LAKE COUNTRY to VERNON:

I use German-made, state of the art podiatry instruments and a specialized podiatry file (with vacuum) for reducing and filing thickened nails and calluses. Use of a podiatry file results in much less vibration and maximum comfort for my clients. Use of a podiatry file also allows better control of the hand piece due to its light weight and slender design. The higher speed of the podiatry file enables me to apply less pressure, and with the correct technique eliminates any heat or discomfort that clients often feel with the use of low speed rotary tools for your Medical Pedicure in Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country to Vernon in the comfort of your home. Using various filing burrs (special filing "drill bits") I am able to file down even the thickest nails and calluses. Thick, deformed nails can be reshaped to a more normal appearance. No nails are too challenging for me!

I treat fungal nails by removing as much of the damaged nail as possible which often results in the nail growing back much cleaner.

What does a typical mobile foot care session and "Medical Pedicure in Kelowna, West Kelowna & Lake Country or Vernon" include?

assessment of feet to determine foot problems

nail trimming and filing

nail reduction and reshaping if nails are very thick

reduction of corns and calluses

conservative treatment of ingrown nails

hammertoe and bunion care

cleaning and exfoliation of dry skin between the toes using an anti-fungal spray

foot/lower leg massage

A typical foot care session takes approximately a half hour although the initial visit may take up to an hour.

I am VAC/DVA approved and will provide direct billing for Veterans.

Some private insurance companies will reimburse up to 80% of the cost.

Nursing foot care is an allowable income tax expense. (A salon pedicure is a cosmetic service and is not tax deductible or covered by insurance). A receipt will be provided.

My Foot Poem:

I’m Suzanne the “Foot Care Nurse”

Sometimes foot trouble can be a curse

I have clipper’s, files, all the right tools

And if your feet are burning

A little massage, with lotion that cools

I’ll cleanse, and clip, and file, I’ll stay

To take all your nail troubles away

Don’t be shy or self conscious, no oh no

Just let me help you with each little toe

Your feet are your foundation

As my mentor would say

So give me a shout

And make an appointment today
